Seems more like something for discussion on desktop-discuss (ignoring the
obvious flamebait and generally rude and insulting attitude displayed by your
question) than xwin-discuss.
Sun has employed and continues to employ a number of people who have a lot of
graphics design experience and excellence. OpenSolaris is somewhat half done,
because that's the state it's in all around, not just graphically - it's a work
in progress.
