Hi! The sasl branch is a proof of concept. In the authentication branch I'm writing the interface for setting sasl or nickserv credentials for a server. The authentication branch will be merged into the master branch after it has been finished (I didn't have a lot of time to work on recently). The sasl branch will be removed after that.. It was just for playing around :)
