Yade version 0.80.0 is released. Thanks all contributors.
The main new feature is an optimized collider (thanks to Bruno Chareyre): Improved usage of Verlet's distances allows running the collider at a lower frequency. Measured speedup up to x3 for large multi-threaded simulations (https://yade-dem.org/wiki/Colliders_performace). It is mostly maintanance and bugfix release to make yade more stable, faster and installable on most modern operating systems. We tried to save backport-compatibility, so most of functionality is saved, even if you update from 0.60-series. The new tarball can be found as usuall in Download section on Launchpad [1]. Yade-stable package contains already the 0.80.0 version, so if you have that PPA added, you should get an update "automatically". The new version is already in Debian Sid available. We strongly recommend you to use prepackaged version of Yade, if you do not have any specific reasons to compile yade from scratch. It will help to avoid many problems with compilation [2] and [3]. The full changelog from commit-messages is in attachment. Thanks.
