As said Vaclav, you can use the ThreeDTriaxialEngine for that. With the ThreeDTriaxialEngine you can choose for each of the three space directions a control in strain or in stress. Thus, with respect to your question about an anisotropic stress state you can prescribe for instance a full control in stress to load the granular assembly from sigma_1 = sigma_2 = sigma_3 = 0 to sigma_1 = 100 kPa, sigma_2 = 75 kPa and sigma_3 = 250 kPa. > > >> 3) Is it possible to grow the size of a particle gradually? > > TriaxialTest can use particle growth for compaction, you can certainly > do the same.
