Hi, YADE is not using nor mpich, nor Openmpi. I am not sure, if anybody from YADE group is using OpenSuse. But you can try.
I think, you can find the same packages like here described https://yade-dem.org/index.php/Installation_of_yade_on_debian_or_kubuntu and in OpenSuse repository.
