If you want to simulate a steel bar as rigid non-deformable and non-yielding 
body, you can use clump. Another way is to use utils.createInteraction function

To make the gaps between steel and concrete particles smaller, you can
model the steel bar with "hexagonal" crossection such that the particles
makes regular hexagonal prism. Just an idea.
