Question #202299 on Yade changed: https://answers.launchpad.net/yade/+question/202299
jduriez proposed the following answer: Hello Henry, Paying enough attention to these two articles will be necessary to catch the details, but, shortly, the idea of the first article (whose I'm one of the authors) is to simulate (only) one rock joint which is infilled, with a granular material. Particles of the model represent this infill material. In the second article (Luc's work) the DEM is modified so that the interactions between some particles correspond to a (relatively simple) behaviour of a planar joint. The particles correspond then to the rock mass, but with some planar joints inbetween. -- You received this question notification because you are a member of yade-users, which is an answer contact for Yade. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~yade-users Post to : yade-users@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~yade-users More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
