Question #228825 on Yade changed:

jduriez proposed the following answer:
Hello Henry,

I discover that you are interested in
Law2_ScGeom6D_NormalInelasticityPhys_NormalInelasticity, that I wrote.
Thus, I remind you that this law describes a sphere-sphere contact with a
normal inelasticity, with a greater stiffness in unloading than in loading.
This may be considered as a trick I used so that a set of spheres could
correspond to one rock joint.
To use it in your computations, the way is the same than for any other
law, you should have an example in examples/normalInelasticity-test.py lines
30-43
But I'm not sure if this law is really what you need ? This law does not
describe especially the sphere-sphere contact as if they slide both along a
given surface (joint).
