Bruno Chareyre proposed the following answer: Maybe python is just never erasing the vector that you pass from fortran to c++. I remember it can happen sometimes than python is not releasing memory as you expect. If this is the problem it will not be visible in the c++ code, and it will not be related to the bug mentionned by Anton.
