Marco Previtali posted a new comment: Hi, I have managed to obtain visible shear bands by converting my 2D experiment to a pseudo-3D and then carrying out the analysis. I was mostly confused because the image on the wiki showed a very clear shear band, while the example provided (i.e. an uniaxial compression test) looked like it would exhibit sometime similar but didn't show anything in the post-processing. The fixed displacement example proposed by Karol worked very well in this context.
