Hi, I suspect that new instances launched with cloud-init 0.7.9-90-g61eb03fe-0ubuntu1~16.04.1 will have the fix you're after. Unfortunately, the warnings don't get cleaned up unless you silence them as suggested (or rm -Rf /var/lib/cloud or /var/lib/cloud/instance/warnings/).
