The patch was abandoned and I don't think we want to expose the Tasks
API to users anyway. I'll close this, feel free to reopen this bug
report if needed.

Overview:
The task output makes do difference just contains a message about an internal
error. However the logs this difference is specified so we should pass this
onto the user, to make it easier to debug problems.
