I run Windows XPPro. I installed YIM v.10 and i didn't like all the
accessories. When loading the YIM program i clicked off all the options
(toolbar, desktop shortcuts, etc.) yet they were installed anyway and remained
after i uninstalled. The Yahoo toolbar was the most challenging to remove
because it would not respond to the uninstall program

I used the XP uninstall program to remove the YIM program but even after a
registry clean using SammSoft Advanced Registry Cleaner there were still
several indications (including the Y toolbar) that the program had remained in
my registry because they still appeared on my desktop and email with popup
suggestions that incorporate the YIM program (just by passing my cursor over
(unbefore) highlighted topics). When i right click it still gives me the Yahoo
options that came with YIM. I want this Yahooo associated programs COMPLETELY
removed because i really do NOT like the invasiveness and the deception of the
installation process i encountered.

I run Firefox Mozilla and was able to finally remove the Yahoo toolbar by
following their suggestions. As i briefly stated above, I was able to clean up
part of the registry from the run/regedit files by following the step-by-step
procedure (i deleted my webpage history too early), but cleaning up the rest of
the registry manually is something that i would like some help with.

Thanks (in advance);
xtrarich2.
