Weiwei Yang commented on YARN-5271: ----------------------------------- Hi [~gtCarrera9] The point is you'll need to try catch this exception so you can fail with a more informative error message, something like "dependency conflict, you have to disable timeline server", and people will need to add "yarn.timeline-service.enabled=false" in their client code and start all over again. The fix here was trying to alleviate this pain, it prints a warning on console and warns user timeline client could not be initialized because of dependency issue, more user friendly.
