Allen Wittenauer commented on YARN-6365:
----------------------------------------

bq. should this be a blocker?

Let me ask you a question: do you believe that blindly overwriting and
destroying user data is OK for an application to do?

> slsrun.sh creating random html directories
> ------------------------------------------
>
>                 Key: YARN-6365
>                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/YARN-6365
>             Project: Hadoop YARN
>          Issue Type: Bug
>          Components: scheduler-load-simulator
>    Affects Versions: 3.0.0-alpha3
>            Reporter: Allen Wittenauer
>            Priority: Blocker
>
> YARN-6275 causes slsrun.sh to randomly create or override html directories
> wherever it is run.
> {code}
> # copy 'html' directory to current directory to make sure web sever can access
> cp -r "${bin}/../html" "$(pwd)"
> {code}
> Instead, the Java could should be changed to take a system property that
> slsrun can populate at run time.
