Haibo Chen commented on YARN-6047: ---------------------------------- I think we should explicitly call out the data loss issue when HBase goes down, hence the following change {code} You should be able to start generating data. When enabled, all YARN-generic events are published as well as YARN system metrics such as CPU and memory. Furthermore, some applications including Distributed Shell and MapReduce can write per-framework data to YARN Timeline Service -v.2. +v.2. Note that there is currently no fault tolerance against HBase backend unavailability, so +data can be lost in cases where HBase goes offline. {code} > Documentation updates for TimelineService v2 > -------------------------------------------- > > Key: YARN-6047 > URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/YARN-6047 > Project: Hadoop YARN > Issue Type: Sub-task > Components: documentation, timelineserver > Reporter: Varun Saxena > Assignee: Rohith Sharma K S > Labels: yarn-5355-merge-blocker > Attachments: YARN-6047-YARN-5355.001.patch, > YARN-6047-YARN-5355.002.patch > > -- This message was sent by Atlassian JIRA (v6.4.14#64029) --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: yarn-issues-unsubscr...@hadoop.apache.org For additional commands, e-mail: yarn-issues-h...@hadoop.apache.org
