Szilard Nemeth commented on YARN-9445:
--------------------------------------

[~sunilg], [~bibinchundatt]: One more thing that I missed from my comment
yesterday, quoting from the documentation:
"The root queue’s ACLs are “*” by default which, because ACLs are passed down,
means that everybody may submit to and kill applications from every queue. To
start restricting access, change the root queue’s ACLs to something other than
“*”."

[~eyang]: Thanks for your comment, so we are on the same page.

> yarn.admin.acl is futile

> * Define a queue with restrictive administerApps settings (e.g. yarn)
> * Set yarn.admin.acl to "*".
> * Try to submit an application with user yarn, it is denied.
> This way my expected behaviour would be that while everyone is admin, I can
> submit to whatever pool.
