One more tip: If you need modified insts-sys and using e.g. yupdate that needs
to be applied in each installation run, then it can be more effective ( and I
use it often ) to use

1 startshell=1 in kernel cmdline
2 modify insts-sys
3 simulate various scenarious by editing /etc/install.inf
4 execute `yast`
5 continue with 3 with different scenario

The documentation is at
https://github.com/openSUSE/linuxrc/blob/master/linuxrc_yast_interface.txt#L321
and the most interesting options are XVideo and TextMode for testing.
