the repositories created from a template start with a single commit (the

content) and are separate repositories not linked to a parent.

I think this approach would be better and easier to use than having a
script in the
devtools...
Yes. I like the idea of having a template repository only with the
skeleton and nothing else. Then, we can have a set of "sample" projects
created from that template. We can use every "sample" to teach about
something specific (e.g., how to create UI interaction, how to define a
YaST CLI, etc).
