Can't we move on?
We've heard enough of leaders resigning in sympathy of their own dirty and
cruel master on media. I think we are too busy to be given junk political food
on our electronic and print media. Life must go on as we did after 1994.
1. Thabo Mbeki was recalled from parliament by the ANC-NEC not by Jacob Zuma
2. Jacob Zuma was fired by Thabo Mbeki from parliament not by ANC-NEC
3. Premiers and ministers were appointed by Thabo Mbeki also he fired some when
he saw it fit.
Those who resigned recently, did so bcos Thabo Mbeki was recalled by the
ANC-NEC. And the ANC respect their decisions.
4. ANC-NEC was voted in by the majority of the ANC representatives (mandate
from branches).
5. The ANC dont advertise premiers' and ministers' posts, it deploys
and can do that within 24hours or any time that
suits the movement. You dont have to undergo university academic training
to be a leader in the ANC and government
hence millions of taxpayers money is being used for conferences, workshops,
seminars etc to equip our leaders with
necessary skills. There is no university that develops presidents, premiers,
ministers, mayors etc. Therefore lets not
entertain stories of our comrades being secondary school drop outs (its junk
food).
6. Julius Malema is the ANCYL president and democratically elected. He does not
represent DA, ID, Churches, Universities.
He only represents the youth of the ANC. For the record, those who dont
know ANCYL, it had similar leadership style
of Malema except the ANCYL-factory-fault-went-wrong-project by the name of
Malusi Gigaba.
7. The ANC is not a family possession of a particular ethnic group, it is an
organisation for all groups and leaders from
all groups. By the way we never learnt leadership when Jan Van Riebeck
arrived at the Cape, we had our leaders then.
Also we never learnt good leadership when Thabo Mbeki became the president.
Again we cannot compare
Thabo Mbeki with someone who was never given a chance to lead both the ANC
and Government at the same time for
two terms. Thus unfair comparison.
8. One cannot say the ANC wont be the same again. When was the ANC the same and
what does that mean?
What we know is LEADERS COME AND GO IN THE ANC.
9. Recently we had some ANC members who prefer Thabo Mbeki and those who prefer
Jacob Zuma. That doesnt qualify us
to say we have Zuma and Mbeki camps in the ANC. We only have different
opinions in our movement hence we vote
when that arises on a particular issue.
10. The ANC-Alliance is formed by ANC, SACP and COSATU. Zwelinzima Vavi and
Blade Nzimande are allowed to voice
their position w.r.t the future of the ANC and they represent workers,
the poor, etc. Capitalists wont support that
as per their traditions
I hope we will sober our views and opinions based on the current developments
in the ANC and government.
