In our movement nowadays, there seems to exist certain elements that are hellbound that the ANC and its leagues have run and reached their sell by dates; and these are the people that the President of the ANCYL elected in Mangaung 2008 referred to as the political imbeciles.
The ANCYL remains committed to its founding values and there are principles that every member must adhere to. No one has the right to refer to our President as a clueless boy. Julius remains the only President of the Youth League, unless an elective congress decides otherwise. Only an illdisciplined cadre can run to the point of saying: 'Im organising other disgruntled comrades to remove the President of the ANCYL.' The sense that Im getting is that the comrade is lobbying members of the ANCYL to go on a coup. *We are not confused as ANCYL members and will never be misled by comrades that are having bad illusions informed by arrogance of power and the 'swapping of body parts'. The Chairperson of the ANCYL in Gauteng, Cde Jacob Khawe refers to this behaviour displayed by Sgidi Mosala as 'The head is replaced by the stomach as the thinking organ, and the stomach is replaced by the head as the determinant of thought.'* ** *Let not our stomachs rule what our orientation should be, but let the material conditions inform our approach without the grumblings in our stomach forcing our individualist arrogance take over.
