TELLING THE TRUTH WILL SET US ALL FREE

By: Kaizer Mohau

The ongoing political challenges facing our country have over this
past weekend proved that those behind this crisis do not have an iota
of understanding about telling truth.

Terror Lekota demonstrated to all democracy loving people that he is
very far from being honest about their real intentions of leaving the
African National Congress (ANC).

Firstly, the Lekota gang started by accusing the ANC and its
leadership of negating the Freedom Charter – They further argued that
the ANC leadership is dealing with descending views in a Stalinist
manner of purging other Comrades.

Lekota initially spoke of the above issues as the main reasons for
filing the so-called divorce papers to the ANC.

When expected to unpack these issues Lekota did not assist our people
in making them understand what exactly pushed them away.

Recently, Lekota and his fellow political criminals contradicted
history – a crime history has never been kind to all those who commits
it. They raised the issue of the President of the Republic to be
directly elected by the people and not the Party as practiced today in
our country.

This is the main question that I would like to use so that we expose
these political lumpens.

By arguing that if their Party is able to see the light of day post
the 2009 elections – they will continue to campaign for this demand –
exposes them further, especially when they claim that our people will
for the first time in 15 years be able to exercise their democratic
right of electing their own leaders.

But surely Lekota cannot be thinking that we collectively with him
suffer from amnesia – because we are not.

Lekota was part of the same ANC and the same government that endorsed
this electoral system which is enshrined in the constitution of the
land.

They did not oppose the system they actually benefited from the system
for more than ten years – they defended the system for more than 15
years – when did Lekota realise that this system is denying our people
their democratic right?
Does it means Lekota was asleep since 1994? In which case one can
consider forgiving him for telling the South African public this
pathetic naked lie.

Basically, most of the things that the ANC is accused of are crimes
committed by Lekota and his Thabo Mbeki faction, which has for the
past few years looted our resources for self enrichment in the name of
democracy – It was not the Jacob Zuma leadership that adopted GEAR –
it was not the Jacob Zuma leadership that attacked the Alliance
partners and undermined the ANC structures by taking decisions which
were never in the interest of our people and the ANC as an
organisation.

Accordingly, Lekota will know that the issue of the President of the
Republic was approached in the manner we did owing to the history of
our country. Ours has been the fact that our democracy is very young
and as such political Parties are strategically placed in ensuring
that the direction of the evolution of our democracy is properly
managed. It cannot be correct that in 15 years we should think that we
can apply the democracy of the so-called first world countries – these
countries are many years ahead of us in terms of the developments of
their systems and capitalist democracies.

Taking for instance the United States which has so far been the only
super power in the world since after the collapse of the Berlin wall,
not because they are geographically better placed or they are more
clever, but it is because their country has went through all the
stages of capitalist development as such their understanding of
democracy is mature (of course this is only in so far as capitalism
is concern) than ours, thus some of us will argue that the world is
now reaching the imperialist stages of that development which is the
highest stage of capitalist development.

In the United States of America capitalists are the only people who
are able to be Presidents, what determines their democracy is how rich
one individual is – that is why they campaign as individuals, but you
cannot expect the same approach here in this early period of our own
development.

Considering for instances the current financial crisis the US is
facing and how this crisis is affecting other countries including the
underdeveloped countries testify to this historical fact of the world
economy struggling to get into a fully fledged imperialist economy.

This tendency by Lekota is extremely opportunistic in many ways,
because what it actually means is that Lekota and his Co. think that
by the time their political party get life, the ANC will have lost the
support it enjoys today – therefore they can then parade their
candidate using the resources they looted during their term of office
to campaign for that political idiot they will want as President.

The other fact that makes it clear and exposes Lekota and his company
is how they raise issues relating to the scorpions – all of a sudden
Terror Lekota is now sleeping with hyenas in the form of Helen Zille
and her Democratic Alliance – if Lekota is serious about being loyal
and committed to the ideals outlined in the Freedom Charter – why then
get into bed with people whose existence has in one way or another
been because they are deeply opposed to the same Freedom Charter?

In fact the Freedom Charter was adopted mainly to oppose the same
system that the DA and its twin racist parties like the National Party
wanted to impose on the majority of our people. In taking one example
from the same Freedom Charter, one of the clauses of the FC says: "The
land shall be shared amongst those who work it" yet the DA is hell
bent in opposing one of the most progressive land programs our country
has ever had, the program of ensuring that the land is transferred
back to its original people – they joined the likes of the Freedom
Front and Agri-SA to condemned the ANC and government about the
re-consideration of the "willing seller, willing buyer policy " – will
Lekota join these racist white farmers as well? just for the sake of
trying to make sense to the senseless people?

It is ironic that these charlatans continues to abuse the ANC by using
its structures to form a party – if they are so determined to have
their own political party, why then do they use the same ANC
structures for this counter revolutionary agenda?

How could any party that takes itself serious be quite when its own
structures are used against it?

When the ANC calls these hooligans to order their friends in the media
and in the industry of public opinion making makes a huge noise about
purging – this is very strange indeed.
