Comrades As cadres of the movement we have learnt through marxist tools of analysis that concrete reality amongst the other things should form basis for our aproach to debates, in this regard comrades the following is the concrete reality, that; 1. The movement is at war with some counter revolutionary forces 2. The balance of forces in the media industry is not in our favour (media continue to selectively report and cover that what is controversial from our activities without giving the whole context or the necessary background) 3. The very media that is at war with us is unfortunately one but the biggest of all forms of reaching out to the electorate Now the question that arises is whether having made the aforementioned observations, it is still tactical to continue to behave and or utter statements (though genuinely in defence of our revolution, though true in every sense) that we know for sure that they will be utilised to distort our agenda and our cause. It is true that as communists we should be vigilant against the counter revolutionary distortions made about what we stand for, the question is what should be our tactical response to these challenges and off course in a manner that does not compromise our objective or make ours to be subservient to that of our enemy. It is understandably in this context that we say our leadership should utilise us (cadres in the branches) to make an impact analysis of their leadership style so as to allow the tactical adjustments where unintended consequences had been encountered as meted out by the actions and or utterances of our leadership in defence and advancement of our revolutionary agenda. This debate, needs a high degree of level headedness because of high vigilance from our ranks precipitated by the poisoned political environment, I agree comrades that we should guard against the hijackers in the process of making objective introspection. I support the President wholeheartedly but I think the time has come for all those who love and support him to talk to him privately about unstrategic responses that he gives sometimes especially when those contradicts the President of the ANC. Over the weekend, the President of the ANC tells the media that he has told Malema to tone down and for him to go to the Cape Talk radio and say that, that did not happen potray the President of the ANC in the bad light. As members of the ANC we are busy doing door to door, explaining that the message of the ANC is consistent all the time despite attempts by Paddy Harper at al to potray our President of the ANC as a leader who say what the audience want to hear at that time. Few weeks ago, he also said worrying things about the alliance discussions on the issue of the quotas and we kept queit as leadership of the Alliance not because we agreed with him but because we felt that we are happy with engaging internally with those matters.
