Fellow Members

The formation of a new Trade Union and/or Federation as apolitical is purely
blasphemous by former COSATU President and former ANC Member. This is an attempt
to confuse the workers in this country and Voters in particular.
Maybe; It is an attempt for some disgruntled and yet ambitious leaders to be
called GS,DGS,DPres,Pres etc. and regain their ego after refusal to be at peace
with Democratic Centralism and/or the "people have spoken" after
Polokwane.;And/or;Is an attempt to justify that sometimes in the
struggle,counter-revolutionaries are also born unintentionaly?

For the purpose of clarity,The preamble of the SACP clearly set the scene; The
History of all hitherrto existing society is the History of a Class
Struggles. We either in the revolution Re-Constitute the society at large or
Ruin the contending classes?

Firstly; The key question should be as to what the role of a revolutionary Trade
Union is,and should be in the current conjuncture?
>From what we have heard is loggically inconsistent and brewed of cowardice to
>the workers of this country.Cde Lenin warned against this in 1905"Intellectual
>bourgeois know full well that they will not be able to get rid of the working
>class movement. That is why they do not come against the workintg class
>movement as such,or against the proletariat class struggle as such, nor they
>even pay lip service to the right to strike"

This negative development defeats the yet to be realized dream of One
Country,One Union,One Country,One Federation which our honourable former member
cherished.What has now happened?
How possible is that a person may see red and of a sudden say i now see green?

Secondly; This negative development sits well in the Loud hailing done by COPE
through their "not so fit to be presidential candidate" Former Minister of
defence that "They" will de-politicise the public service once in power.Maybe;
they have read the Constitution of the country somehow?.Our Constitution
outlines Freedom of Choice and Associations for workers and for whose benefit
are they preaching the notion of de-politicising the public service? Is itt not
for the Capitalists and their beneficiation and Neo-Liberalism agenda?
Workers of this country demand Unity at all cost and the testimony can be
arrived at with clear examples of the 2007 public service strike. The first
longest and largest strike in the country ever;where workers across colour
divide, class, ideology came out to say enough is enough.
We will be having Five Federations in the country which is an unfortunate
development and negates unity and consolidation of working class power.

Lastly;Workers are not narrow-minded to fall into the trap of the formation of
the Union and/or the Federation.Opportunistic distortion of history by Ntate
Madisha will haunt him now and the coming days. The key battles should be around
CASUALIZATION,RETRENCHMENTS,DISMISSALS,COLLECTIVE BARGAINING and not
the cowardice we observe.
At the core of this attack on workers is an attempt to woo voters for COPE AND
NOTHING AT ALL.
The role of any progressive trade union is dependent not only on its Objective
and Subjective capacity or weaknesses; But also crucially dependent on the
extent to which it leads in manner that continously Re-Inforces and nurtures a
progressive role and Post Polokwane Era has provided that platform.

Arise ye prisoners of starvation!

Ntate Madisha and group will never confuse the workers of this country now and
beyond the election time.We call upon all workers across all sectors to vote
for the ANC.Together we can do more!
