Fully agree, i think Cde Sabelo has clearly clarified the issue. it was Thabo, now Gwede, maybe tommorrow Zuma. Where is the spirit of engagement?
Godfery >>> [email protected] 06/04/09 9:30 PM >>> Greetings, Comrades, i just want to find out whether do we understand the fact that the ANC is multi-class movement not a party? Therefore Cde Secretary General of the ANC is General of all these docrines within this movement. We cannot at any point take back the ANC to what it was in the past. A one party view movement (Bourgoisie movement). Correctly said, it does not make him a self of a communist by saying what he said. The mistakes of the past must be corrected by those present and those going forward. The ideas of communists are still there and therefore we must allow ideas to generate in our movement and allow at times when ours are defeated by the collective. I believe that at no point will people be great when the SG will just wake up and say his views. The next thing, people will expect is for Cde Blade to wake up tomorrow and pronounce as Minister of Eductaion that all Higher Education Institutions are FREE. He must undergo the process of engagement and allow his ideas to be defeated and actually, also be sent by government to pronounce on things that he might be against of. That's the democracy we want not what it was before. Let us allow the ANC to remain what it is and allow communists to influence in a correct way of influencing, otherwise we will loose the movement of our people. The labour structures must just further seek clarrity as President Gina as said then take it from there. The only thing that might me unconfortable currently is the view of the COSATU CC meeting that President JZ will serve 2 terms. I think that i for the ANC to decide and it is not about not wanting him or not. It is about its potential to devide the ANC. COSATU must then go to its members and explain the pathogenisis of the view so that it could be infiltrated in branches and to society. It would be nice though, a serious contuation of working class bias leadership. If JZ continues, where does that leave me & Julius? I am getting old nam ngoku.....lol.....
