Dear Revolutionaries,

The YCLSA Gauteng Province is intervening on this matter in VUT,
particularly the suspension of cde Takalani from the institution, which
was with effect from 24 hours yesterday. I'm appealing to comrades to
refrain from being judgmental but allow themselves an opportunity to
gather all relevant data and verify its validity before taking any
position. Speculations will not assist. I have all the letters that
Takalani wrote to former President of the Republic, HE Hon Mr. Mbeki,
TM; former Minister of Education and Member of Parliament Hon Mss
Pandor, GN; and General Secretary of the SACP Cde & Dr. Nzimande, EB who
is now Minister of Higher Education & Training. The letters raise
serious issues of concern. If proven correct, as part of them have
reportedly been so handled by the court of law already, those who
pre-judged Takalani to be ill-disciplined will find it not useful to
direct the revolution based on speculations.

The action by management to suspend Takalani from learning in fact
provides one of the grounds for us to light in the issues that Takalani
raised about the institution. Regardless what a perspective management
hold on any student or vice versa, suspending a student from learning
is, in our view as the YCL, treasonous in this day and age. We will
fight to the lat degree on this, and ensure that Takalani's right to
learn is fully restored.

Till then,
