Mutshidza,

Student organizations should attend to student issues and not try to
solely serve the interests of political parties.

The reason being that NOT ALL students may be members of or supporters
of a political party and therefore , student representatives , should be
aware of the fact that their student constituency is diverse in terms of
political views or beliefs.

Failure to recognize this may lead to the division of the student body
into political factions which, in many instances , may not be in the
interests of the student body as a whole irrespective of political
affiliation.

I am not aware of the circumstances around Takalani and would be
grateful if I could be updated - although it appears from Mutshidza that
Takalani appears to be supporting a corrupt Professor who has been
booted out because of financial mismanagement.

Regards,

(Particularly Cde Takalani)

Dear Revolutionaries

Maybe as a member of PYA in VUT, I have to inform fellow compatriots
about the status qou of PYA in VUT. I have to be honest with comrades
that the relationship of components PYA components in VUT is not
healthly because of this comrades who don't want to debate, they want
agremnous dabate. The division is about some comrades of SASCO and ANCYL
who don't understand struggle of ideas. And the very same comrades are
the one's who have notorious relationship with VUT management and are
the one's who are used by the management to misdirect PYA in the campus,
even if Takalani could have engaged PYA situation would have been the
same because the letter of suspension of SRC is the same as that one
management gave Takalani and both they hold no waters. Takalani took the
intiative to speak to pertinent issue affecting VUT and the very same
SRC don't even try to protect Takalani as a Student, it evident enough
that ordinary students can be victimised by the management in the
presence of the SRC. Every thing the SRC do they go for the mandate
first in the office of assistant director, who dilluted student
gorvenance in VUT. Now comrades Takalani was not wrong because even
today those issues he raised would have not been raised by any one. In
this campus YCL and SUCA are hated very much by comrades of SASCO and
ANCYL and I am not going to hide it, it's a fact.

That's how far I can elaborate.

Amandla!!!

Cdes,

Maybe one will have to move in and try to share some lights by virtue of
being a former Student Leader. The fact of the matter is that these
things does happened and the question which on always seeks to clarify
is do we elevate individual view above that of collective. I am saying
this because my take is that the VUT SRC is PYA lead and as discipline
force and member of the PYA, Cde Takalani should have went back to the
structure that deployed him to the SRC and engage so that a collective
PYA response could be provided. He does not need to enter into cahoot
with AZASCO to deal with PYA leaders in the SRC. Hence the same analogy
of Rights should be confined to Statute, Constitution of the
Organisation which he belong (YCL, ANCYL, SASCO) and others. Discipline
means that the collective could take a decision that does not support
your views and you should rally behind those views and not run to the
media to deal with the internal matters. This are the tendencies of
Patronage which you talking to my leader. I am informed that informed by
this developments the PYA SRC suspended cde Takalani pending
investigation on issue that brought the SRC into disrepute and among
others conniving with Evil forces to destroy the very same Unity and
Cohesion of our Glorious PYA in the name of Freedom of Expression which
is out of context.

Lets tell it as it is, Cde Takalani talk to Prof. Mokati, who was dealt
with accordingly and through legal framework won the case against the
institution. Hence Cde Takalani should objectively raise the issue of
the Whistle Blower, who happened to be the CFO of the University. Then
what he ought to say to Council is that due to the outcome of the Court
how do we deal with the CFO who from onset as a result of fallout with
Prof. Mokati decided to sell Mokati to Council while he is part to the
issues raised on mismanagement of University Monies, having Private
Bodyguards and use Students to push his thing across the University.
Then cde Takalani should tell us which Agenda is he pushing? Which is
anti-change? Why is Prof. Mokati so important to Takalani? We know the
history of his flamboyant life style and rewards to SRC cdes that are
supporting his cause. Is Takalani a potential beneficiary of dubious
bids to bring Prof. Mokati back?

I think and this my views, that Cde Takalani is not a victim but he want
to create an impression that he is the sole voice of change in VUT. It
cannot be correct that he disregards the PYA Structures on Campus and
opt to take this Transformational agenda on personal basis. If he
believe he has a point he should have taken it to the Structures and it
becomes organisation programme to challenge Management of VUT and if it
means that the SRC collectives should be dealt with the PYA Structure
should be given a space to do so. So he is a Victim of Himself and
should understand that.

However, the National leadership as well as Provincial Leadership of PYA
should engage this matter and resolve around the way forward. It cannot
be correct that SAUS should move in to resolve issues that have
political consequences as oppose to SASCO, ANCYL, YCL, and other Allies
before bringing in the Federation.

Cde Takalani ought to know this as Provincial Leader of YCL, that
Organisational Discipline should always guide us on how to put our
personal interest above that of the Organisations we represents.

I remain
