Subject: [YCLSA Discussion] ANC Amathole Conference

What we saw on the media recently about the ANC in Amathole Region is
interesting. The ANC in this region has been suffering for years and it seems
there are people who still want it to continue to suffer, if not used by those
who made it to suffer who are now in COPE. The delegates who were at East
London City Hall were disciplined enough, and according to what we see they
were in good position to win the conference and bring the lost ANC to people.
When ANC President, Jacob Zuma won in Polokwane the capitalists were angry and
decide to open the other political party, but others remain inside, thats why
you see these tendencies continue to exist in the Amathole. It is about time
the NEC to deeply consider Amathole and deal with those who pushed their
interests before of those of the ANC. The ANC is for all people, and the ANC is
a democratic party mean't for rich and poor. I congratulate the action taken by
the ANC delegates in City Hall last week, and
more the action /decision taken by the NEC deployees, F.Xasa and D.Hanekom not
to officiate factionist conference. The ANC PEC need to be disbanded also
before we can go to the provincial conference, we can't go to the conference
with the leadership that still have in minds "Capital agenda" and they regard
Amabomvana as not part of the ANC. This Province is bad cadres.
