Cdes Yes the car is a tool and hence one does not need a 750il to do the work. Let us be fair cdes, one does not need the cars that were bought to do the work especially if the car is bought with of state money. A BMW 5 Series, Audi A6, Merc. E Class, Volvo S80, and any other vehicle in this range would do a very good safe job. If the minister needs a 4*4 then he can buy a Land Rover Discovery 3, Toyota Prado, Dodge Journey, ML 350 We have to remember that we are a country with great disparities between the wealthy and the rich, therefore we should always be sensitive to that. The other thing is that we are creating bad precedence for the younger guys who would think that the easiest way to ride in luxury is to become a politician instead of studying and working hard to be a professional or a proper business man/woman. If the cars can be returned for cheaper ones without the state incurring more costs, I would support and encourage our comrades to do so. Otherwise a modest and reasonable cap on the value of vehicles should be set for the future. Amandla

Ministers are always driving from one meeting to another all the time. Why must we be defocussed by DA from the real issues. The opposition knows very well that they will never be ministers hence they want them to run the country using ama Golfs nema Tazz and fail to impliment the manifesto of the ANC. Honestly, lets talk service delivery to our communities and not what a minister is driving, wearing and eating.
