Replying to Cde. Morgan Phaahla, I am surprised by the comrades quotation from Joe Slovo, about the wearing of suits changing ideology -- unless he thinks that as soon as someone enters the doors of Luthuli House, they automatically loses their ideology!! This is indeed the thinking of an anarchist. For the record, I have known Comrade Uriel for some time now and have never yet seen him wearing a suit, secondly, he is known as a person who will go out of his way to help any comrade experiencing difficulties, thirdly, he is a person who to my knowledge has never wavered ideologically since the days of the armed strugglr of which he was part. It seems that some comrades are either convinced about the impartiality of our court system and/or are hiding their cowardice behind revolutionary phraseology. Personally I am not prepared to stand by whilst a mistake or an accident is used to put away any comrade for the crime of being a participant of the armed struggle. Right now Comrade Uriel does not need analysis or criticidm, he needs solidarity. For those who want to send letters of support, write to [email protected]
