YCLSA IN GAUTENG REJECTS POST- AND PSEUDO-COPE LEFTWING AND MANOEUVRES TO SUPPRESS SACP MEMBERS IN THE ANC-LED NLM
27 November 2009
The Young Communist League of South Africa (YCLSA) in the
province of Gauteng notes with grave concern manoeuvres to destabilise
both the YCLSA and the South African Communist Party (SACP) by certain
elements working in collaboration with external forces including
capitalists, mainly the so-called successful Black business.
The aims of this destabilisation include:
® Attempts to hijack both the YCLSA and the SACP in Gauteng in order to run them in oppositionist and parallel to, and as if they were independent formations from, both the YCLSA and SACP nationally. ® Preparations for the launch of a post- and pseudo-COPE (Congress of the People) anti-SACP leftwing, the so-called democratic left. ® The suppression of genuine SACP and YCLSA members and leaders as well as progressive trade unionists in the African National Congress-led (ANC-led) National Liberation Movement (NLM) coupled with a plot to derail this giant movement of our people into the hands of parasitic capitalists in an axis with established capital and corrupt government officials.
Among others these forces of evil intentions operate by means of promises of jobs and resources to unemployed comrades and by unleashing money in order to dispense patronage. Part of this money is obtained from Black Economic Empowerment (BEE) deals and government tenders.
As the YCL in Gauteng we reject to the contempt it deserves: ® All attempts to divide the working class along narrow, self-centred and misconceived ideological grounds whatsoever. ® The post- and pseudo-COPE anti-SACP leftwing which, like COPE, has its origins in the defeat of Thabo Mbeki’s lobby in the ANC 52nd National Conference (Polokwane 2001) and subsequent disgruntlement. ® All anti-communist and anti-trade unionist manoeuvres that have recently re-emerged from within our ANC-led NLM. ® All attempts by the parasitic capitalists in an axis with established capital and corrupt government officials.
We, the YCL in Gauteng declare to all in our province, country and the world as a whole that the forces that want to destabilise the YCLSA and the SACP by any means including the launch of a post- and pseudo-COPE leftwing, corruption and patronage, shall only achieve their dream only if we are exterminated beyond trace of existence. The same we declare about the forces that want to hijack our beloved ANC-led NLM to the parasitic capitalists in an axis with established capital and corrupt government officials. All of these forces have embarked on a mission impossible.
We call on all our members to be on the outlook of these
forces for a full combat. Our 2nd Provincial Congress
Executive Committee (PEC) will be holding its 11th Plenary
Session from the 4th – 5th December 2009 where we
shall develop a comprehensive strategy and tactics to defeat these
forces.
