In the article that was posted on this forum of Che Guevara (What a young communist should be) he says "the youth must be the vanguard of all movements, the first to be ready to make the sacrifices demanded by the revolution" It is the youth that can interact with the people, and it is the youth that can make the ANC the parliament of the people, we need to go to the to our branches, regions, provinces and conferences and congresses and take a resolution to defend a revolution as far as the local government is concern, because local government is the heart of the state power, if you deliver on local government you are likely to retain the state power, But the solution is within our strength as the young people.... We in this case referring to those who are privilaged to be in government/state institutions and in leadership/public representatives. It is however crucial to acknowledge that the state is a machinery of suppression, meaning it is designed to enforce certain ideas and practices. It has by its design mechanisms that ensures enforcement, that's why you have state aparatus/institutions like the army, police, courts etc, the super structure. The super structure is supposed to be the reflection of the base. Whilst agreeing with you one should be quick to say there should be a balance between the two aspects, people first and the suppressive nature of the state. This brings you as an activist to fill the gap. You are privilaged to mediate and ensure that the working class is not exploited, they explore the recourse that is there in the statutory laws and even to ensure that public representatives take resolution that put our people first so that by the time the state machinery acts it does so in the interest of the people. Remember that the history of all hitherto existing societies is the history of class struggles!
