Indeed the SA working class is conscious my cadre otherwise it would not be critically engaging with various employers for better working conditions including better salaries.
Our workers know what they should be getting from employers. Our working class have been tackling issues which have not been tackled before and I must say that so far they have been winning. We as the working class, a class which has always been suppressed for profits of business know our rights through various literature by the likes of Marx, Lenin and Engels. That literature is key in identifying problems within the workplace and formulating strategies of engaging with employers. The strategies according to John Locke detail the outcomes of failing discussions between the employer and employees. It is the workers' rights to strike should they not reach a concession with their employer. I would like to believe that anyone can strike when they are not satisfied with their employer provided that the employer in question does not want to enter into dialogue with employees on the round table of discussions. A strike however is not necessary but is inevitable when employers are tuned into a bad attitude torwards employees. once the employer realises that they are losing money, they will quickly be susceptible to discussions and concessions will be reached. In SA we are doing this as workers and have been so in the past and shall continue to do so in the future in a democratical fashion!
