Amandla Comrades, I was observing, how much intreached is capitalism. World Cup comrades was never for the working class; ours, the working class was to construct stadiums and sell our labour power for the capitalist class to enjoy benefits and aparently maximise profit. Who are we to call for disclosur of information to the LOC.
Sout African Goverment have announces millions of wealth and economic development during and beyong a Worl Cup. It is daid; that the world cup is to leave "LEGACY': 1. STADIUMS: Very beautiful stadiums have been built. We are now left with the question of sustanability, mantainance and managemnt of them beyond the wold cup. We know for the fact that not all local teams will afford to pay and have games to these new stadiums due to admision fees. The likelyhood is; they may be distroyed or be converted to musiems of some sort. 2. ECONOMIC GROWTH: The local business people (street vendors, small businesses..) have never benefited from this almost gone world games. We have seen the working class, hawkers in our street being harrased by Merto police and other state organs. WHB is an international company, its social responsibility is in Germany, not here in SA. Which county's economy is growing then? who benefits or whihc other local company have benefited other than one G-five which is all over. 3. JOBS: The vast majority of our youth is being used like and highly exploited under the guise of volunteerism, loyalty and patriotism. Are these the job opportunities we were promised long before the truth have revealed itself? Hundrades of thousands of youth will still be withou jobs, even the experience they would have aquired will never be irrelevent, hance the world cup will never come back in their life-time at least not in the next fifty years. We have seen Security Guard protests all over the country, which was evident to the assumtion that the capitalist FIFA can not obey the laws of any country so long as their interst is being served. The working Class should have learnt a lessson; that Capitalism needs no negotiations, but the total take over by the revolutionary means, violance is optional.
