COSATU *COSATU Gauteng Statement, 25 August 2010 * *Gauteng programme of action, 26 August 2010*The Gauteng march in support of the public workers' strike is taking place tomorrow the 26th August 2010 as planned. The JHB CBD will be coming to a standstill as thousands of the public sector workers will be in the Johannesburg streets.
COSATU and the Public Sector unions will be converging at cnr Nugget and Commissioner Street from 09h00 in the morning and will move at 11h00 to the following offices:
1. Department of Education at 111 Commissioner Street to hand over
the memorandum to the MEC for Education at about 11h30
2. Department of Health and Social Service at corner Commissioner and
Sauer Street to hand over the memorandum to the MEC for Health and
Social Service at 12h00
3. Department of Community Safety at corner Fox and Simmonds street
to hand over the memorandum to the MEC for Safety at 12h30
4. The Office of the Premier at Simmonds street at 13h00
