THEME: “Sharpening our tools of analysis for a clear advancement of Free
Education and Socialism”
The SASCO Western Region REC is inviting all members of SASCO, students, MDM
formations and all other interested people to a Political School which will be
held as follows:
Venue: NMMU (North Campus N1) ( Port Elizabeth)
Date: 22-23 October 2010
Time: Friday: 16:00 to 19:00
Saturday: 09:00 to 17:00
The political school will be held under the theme: SHARPENING OUR TOOLS OF
ANALYSIS FOR A CLEAR ADVANCEMENT OF FREE EDUCATION AND SOCIALISM. The Political
school will be addressed by speakers such as Jeremy Cronin, Sabelo Gina, Mawetu
Rune and various others.

09: 00 – 2nd Marxist-Leninist Series: Understanding Political Economy and

12: 00 - Towards the transformation of the media landscape by NUMSA President

Panel Discussions
13: 00 – Panel 2: Linking Generations: The Historic role of the PYA in the
advancement of the NDR, Ayongezwa Lungisa, Mluleki Dlelanga and Scelo
15: 00 – Pane 2: Linking Generations: The role of the alliance in the
attainment
of the Strategic objective of the NDR, by ANC, SACP and COSATU.
