POPCRU salutes the SACP for its forthrightness towards a Socialist Future POPCRU has congratulated the South African Communist Party [SACP] on its 90th Anniversary since its formation, fighting along side the Oldest Liberation Movement in Africa-the Africa National Congress and the Shield of Workers-Congress of South African Trade Unions [COSATU]. The SACP vividly mastered the struggle against apartheid regime from both inside and outside the country, and ploughed a seed of enriching comrades of various ages on ideological, political and practical persuasions on why the struggle was worth to be fought. And such persuasions envisaged participation in evolutionary processes aimed at the solution of South Africa’s problems on its own terms. As POPCRU, we understood quite well that Lenin once said that “There is no communist book in which you will find al the answers to your problems”.
This words should be best be interpreted as a call by all communists to unendingly study their own concrete situation and their struggle experiences to steer them towards a Socialist future. There is no phase of our struggle which does not have communist heroes and heroines and revolutionaries who continued o water our freedom to greater heights with both ideological and practical leadership. POPCRU adjures all its members to join the SACP as part of practically responding to the implementation of POPCRU’s 07th National Congress as held at Bloemfontein in June 2011. The struggle continues; for as long as classes exist, the class struggle is inevitable! Forward with the struggle for Socialism.
