*Presented on 22 July 2011, in the City of Tshwane* *For Public Release* We, the democratic, revolutionary and peace loving young people of South Africa based in Gauteng under the leadership of the Young Communist League of South Africa (YCLSA) in the province: 1. Take serious exception to the role that France, mainly on behalf and interests of the capitalist class in France, is playing in our continent of Africa as part of the sources of civil wars and conflicts. 2. Note with deep sense of anger that France has developed as a capitalist country to the benefit, particularly of the capitalist class in that country, among others chiefly through the colonisation, neo-colonisation, underdevelopment, occupation, domination, imperialism, loot of and control over natural resources and labour of a sizeable number of African countries. 3. Note with disgust that France is instrumental and plays an activist role in an imperialist agenda to divide and marginalise Africans on African affairs and to ignore their plea for peace, harmony and democracy; France has assumed the role of a psychopathic despot who dictates leadership over Africans in their own countries as recently evidenced among many instances in developments that took place in Ivory Coast. 4. Take serious exception to the role that France is playing, as part of the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO) but in particular as an imperialist state that is serving the private accumulation interests of the capitalist class and their corporate entities, in the bombings of Libya, murdering of its civilians, young and old, women and children, in pursuit of the exploitation of the oil endowments of and labour in Libya. 5. Take serious exception to France marginalising the African Union (AU) and peaceful political resolution of the situation in Libya, illegally supplying weapons to rebels and assisting them with intelligence operations, all as part and parcel of a regime change agenda and installation of puppets governments in other countries against the will of the people. We call upon France to immediately STOP the bombing of and abandon all its imperialist operations and objectives in Libya, and everywhere in the African continent and the world. We call upon France, to lead its NATO allies and covey our call to them, most of which are former colonisers of many African countries, present neo-colonisers and imperialist states – United State of America (USA), the worst of all, United Kingdom (UK), the most horrible, Turkey, Spain, Slovenia, Slovakia, Romania, Portugal, Poland, Norway, Netherlands, Luxembourg, Lithuania, Latvia, Italy, Iceland, Hungary, Greece, Germany, Estonia, Denmark, Czech Republic, Croatia, Canada, Bulgaria and Belgium – in particular the NATO member states that are participating in the bombing of Libya, the murdering of her people under the guise of protecting them, the destruction of her infrastructure and illegal operations, to immediatelySTOP. We call on France and its NATO allies to immediately STOP hindering the efforts of the AU, which must urgently and speedily lead the road map for peaceful and political resolution of the situation in Libya by the Libyans themselves who – are the only legitimate people with the right to determine their leadership and system of governance. We want an overhaul of the present international institutions of governance, in particular in the present case the United Nations (UN) as a whole and its Security Council which serve as nothing else but instruments of the dictatorship of the capitalist class of mainly NATO member states and other capitalist states over the billions of the people of the world. We want true world democracy. It is one of our goals to smash the dictatorship of the capitalist class as exercised among others through your NATO member states and other imperialist states by means of such other institutions as the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank which we want overhauled and replaced with true democracy. We demand that France and its NATO allies must acceded to the calls of an overhaul of these institutions and give peace and democracy the space that they deserve. We shall come back again, with more and more strength; we shall not rest until human society is free. Till death do us part with our goals of a society free of all forms of oppression, dictatorship and exploitation, the goal for peace and true, people’s democracy!
