*COSAS calls on pupils to refrain from marching for Malema*

OFFICE OF THE PRESIDENT GENERAL

Receive our revolutionary greetings.

The above mentioned organization would like to take this opportunity to
call on upon all members of COSAS, Students on general, teaching and
non-teaching staff to refrain from planned matches that are scheduled to
take place this week in support of the ANCYL President Cde' Julius
Malema amongst others that have been charged by the African National
Congress.

COSAS needs not to remind everybody that this week is the week in which
Matriculants begin writing the trial exams which are important exams, we
wish to call upon the Police to act decisively to those that are busy
disrupting the culture of learning and teaching in our schools.

We continue to expect teachers to teach and students to learn throughout
this week and all other weeks irrespective of who is being taken to
disciplinary committee. We wish to promise all members of COSAS that
mobilise students to join this action will be taken against those
members and leaders

We have noted with great disgust that the situation students at the
Meadowlands high school find themselves in is unacceptable, we will
visiting the school the whole week in an attempt to solve the problem.

Nobody has monopoly over our education and that is what will guide our
strides, we are still committed to the fight fire with fire campaign
that in the main seeks eliminate unacceptable elements in our schools
beyond everything we will be meeting with relevant stakeholders in our
attempts to get students learning and teachers teaching in that and many
other schools around the country.

*Yours in student struggles

Bongani Mani

COSAS President
