Our democracy is 17 years; constitutional court has been functioning for 16 years; Judge Mogoeng Mogoeng has been a judge for 14 years. Which experience are they talking about? The experience to defend Apartheid? I don’t remember any judge in South Africa judging against the apartheid government . Therefore what do they know about the independence of the judiciary? The intellectuals and legal expert failed to bring facts except the public perception and their personal feelings and emotions about Mogoeng actually about president Zuma.Judges duty is to uphold the law and the constitution, which they must apply impartially and without fear, favour or prejudice.
