To set the record straight, the PEC is satisfied with the delegates list. Equally, all branches that attended the Regional General Council on the 24 September 2011 were happy that the conference process has been meticulously managed and branches democratically and legitimately participated. **** ** ** We make the point that those who make such allegations are cowards who lack courage to raise issues in the ANC meetings. They have chosen to act as sources in the media because they have been bitterly defeated by the democratic process in the branches. The ANC Gauteng would not entertain unfounded and baseless allegations which seek to discredit the organization. No amount of lies and media driven propaganda will stop the Conference from proceeding. **** ** ** The Provincial Executive Committee has given a go ahead for Tshwane Regional Conference to proceed because it has met the constitutional requirements. Up to date 89 branches have convened successful Branch General Meetings to elect duly nominated delegates. **** ** ** As part of ensuring that democracy is strengthened, all members were audited and those participating in the Branch General Meetings were registered with their full photos and identity documents. This was to further ensure that nobody is registered fraudulently. The meetings were smoothly conducted and constituted as per the adopted guidelines in the Provincial General Council in June 2011. The PEC has done a sterling job to comply with the ANC constitution and preserved the integrity of the process.**** The writer has taken an impulsive, bias and factional approach on ANC matters to fuel divisions and disunity.
