YCLSA supports the march for the immediate release of the Cuban Five Media Statement
13 October 2011 The Young Communist League of South Africa [uFasimba] supports the protest march to the US embassy as organised by the Friends of Cuban Society (FOCUS) against the imprisonment of the Cuban Five by the US. The protest is planned to take place tomorrow the 14th October 2011 at the US embassy in Pretoria, 10h30. The five revolutionaries, namely; *Gerardo Hernández*, *Antonio Guerrero*, *Ramón Labañino*, *Fernando González*, and *René González*, are in actual fact anti-terrorist activists who were observing counter-revolutionary activities of about six terrorist groups which were bombing and terrorizing Cuba from the indebted United State of America, notably the Brothers to the Rescue. The Young Communist League will mobilize all its members and young people in general to be part of the march and demand that the five be realized from prison. In addressing the march, the YCLSA will delve on demanding the immediate removal of the economic blockade by the United State of America against Cuba. As YCLSA we shall continue to fight side by side with Cuban people, and vow to be on the frontline of defense of the ideas of communism. In this we would like to commend the Eastern Cape Provincial Government for unequivocally pronouncing itself against the inhuman and barbaric act orchestrated by the United States of America by arrogantly defying million calls from the international community regarding the release of the Cuban Five. We call upon all Provincial governments and the National government in South Africa and beyond to follow suit and openly denounce the USA’s inhuman face on this matter.
