CLIMATIC SOCIALIST CADRE
Let the truth be told "JULIUS MALEMA IS NOT CLASS CONSCIOUS, JUJU is not a
Socialist". Julius Nyerere in The Arusha Declaration says " Socialism is a way
of life, and a socialist society can only be built by those who believe in, and
who themselves practice, the principles of socialism." He further says
"Everybody wants development; but not everybody understands and accepts the
basic requirements for development" My assessment to the other days march and
its euphoric ramblings is that as usual a Climatic Socialist Cadre will always
seek to divert peoples focus and resources from the order of the day but to his
own necessities.
Yes the material contents of their memorandum were sound but the timing was
evil-perceived for self-serving interests at their fellow’s expense. The time
is not ripe for their dictum, if we had to jump into the bandwagon and want to
also pronounce their demand and fabricate the results we would have so much to
lose as a country. There is no way at this stage we can accede to their demands
without first understanding legal, economic ramifications of such endeavours.
We need to refocus our energies on tackling those issues in a systematic way
that is sustainable, a way that will enhance the country’s capacity rather than
impair its resources.
Tools
Do we have the correct tools clearly outlining how we will go about making
those drastic changes for the sake of Economic Freedom in our life time? I very
much doubt that. What concepts are we going to use to achieve this Economic
Freedom in our life time? It definitely can't be achieved in our life-time,
let’s not be hasty about our economical emancipation. Well society might be
supporting their views but the very same society knows that it is not yet the
time. We need to throw some caution here, it is far more important to focus
sound, workable and proven socio-economic policies than to throw ourselves into
deep economic uncertainties.
The nature of this march was really odd even though the concept was good. There
seemed to be a casual relation between the real needs of the youth and this
march. The concept of casual relation between the two can’t just be easily
dismissed as Buti Manamela, The General Secretary of YCLSA had said "We are not
going to have a one night stand with our followers" because such occasions have
a tendency of decay. The moment politics become the property of business minded
people consequently we will find ourselves faced with this dilemma.
