Dear Clarence

A year with many happenings-the congresses and international and national
events tilting the balance of power, with the Arab springs and middle east
uprisings, unseating many ‘dictators’ in the process. And the mistake we learn
from these happenings has been that 'never underestimate' the power of the
people.
Contradictions among the people and within nations are inevitable. Out of all
these developments, the unity of the proletariat is utmost important. Marxism
teaches us that democracy is part of the superstructure and belongs to the
realm of politics. That is to say it serves the economic base.
Within our ranks, we cannot do without championing freedom, nor can we do
without discipline; we cannot do without democracy and centralism. This unity
will nourish all efforts we have done at all workplaces within the South
African economy, to consolidate Working Class Power within and amongst the
membership.

Let us continue to sharpen our ideological and practical outlook to wage a
struggle for the toiling classes.
It is not yet Uhuru!

The QUESTION REMAINS: WHAT IS TO BE DONE WITH THE LESSONS LEARNED THROUGH THOSE
EXEPRIENCES!
