Cde Floyd is correct here. VC you are disapointing. Zuma must indeed
answer and Blade Nzimandze must tell us where is that black plastic
bag which led to persecution of cadres.
Quoting "Aphiwe Bewana" <[email protected]>:
Greetings cdes
I do believe when all is lost or is about to get lost, commiting political
somersaults becomes one of the real avenues to take. So the real issue is
not really debating the merits or the demerits of Floyds input or claims.
But what his suggestions [no matter how ridiculous] actually reveal. Floyd
systematically attacks the intergrity of the ANC and some here are still
prepared to debate the justification of such an attack by calling those who
are doing the right thing [calling a spade a spade] as degenarating or
labelling, whereas Floyd commited that first.
Floyd is commiting a 'tactic of convenience' thru doing an intellectual
trick that we have always known. His act of persuasion aimed to convince
you that his judgement and actions are principled, and this can not be far
from the truth. In essence this act can be characterised as being
opportunistic. For example in his concluding remarks, he utters "Only
factionalists and proponents of tribalism and corruption can stand opposed
to the accountability of the leadership and unfortunately, I am not one."
Wow what a noble cde. If you differ with him, he has already labelled you
as 'tribal' or proponent of tribalism and corruption.
So cdes you may decide where I fall. He equally draws out a rabbit out of a
hat by suggesting that his article is about encouraging us to be proponents
of leadership accountability', as if his way is the principled way.
Leadership accountability has nothing to do with the purpose of the
unplugged article, but fighting for a survival does. But if you believe in
magics and magicians you can believe him, but I am not one to do so. I
treat all tricks as such.
What this magician will not tell you is that he has conciously decided to
commit a self-serving tactic to take advantage of a circumstance with
little regard for principles or with what the consequences are for others
and the welfare of the organization to fight his and his cronies survival.
A trickster does not show you everything they show you what they want you
to see, hence its a trick. Your responsibility as communist or an aspiring
communist is to un-mask the real intentions of this unplugged fellow.
This fellow attempts to deepen the so called "credibility crisis" to the
public which is a reactionary act thru and thru. He comes out as telling
the truth in time of deceit but we know telling opportunistic truth, the
ver same truth becomes one of the first casualties.
In comradely spirit,

Subject: [YCLSA Discussion] Floyd Shivambu unplugged: M&G article
In December the ANC will have its 53rd national conference in Mangaung.
Almost all the media are speculating about what the real issues of focus
will be -- and those relating to leadership elections seem to be
elevated above all other issues. There is, however, an elephant in the
room.
No one is paying significant attention to it, either because they are
oblivious or because they fear those with state power will suppress and
isolate them if they speak about this issue. At the risk of being
isolated and purged, I want to address the elephant in the room -- which
is the reality that President Jacob Zuma is accused of corruption and
has yet to have these allegations tested in court.
It is a matter of fact that the state, of which President Zuma is head,
has a prima facie case to which he should answer in a court of law. In
2009 the charges against him were withdrawn on the basis of the
gossiping and backchat of some senior National Prosecution Authority
(NPA) officials about whether President Zuma should be arrested before
or after the 52nd ANC national conference in Polokwane in 2007.
