Leaders..

I struggle to find the concrete argument that is supposed to be found in a
Statement, which leads me to believe that the Statement that we are reading
here lacks any form of concrete evidence that will allow the forum to have a
fruitful discussion around.
I find this to be very amateurish writing.

"The ANCYL in Limpopo is challenged on the manner that dispute resolution of
matters that requires urgency are given the last eye on basis of favor and
exposed agendas of destroying the ANCYL".

Urgent in comparison to what? How does one resolve that an issue is more
important than the other? Better yet my Leaders, why should the issue of the
suspended and the expelled be given platform in NEC meetings? has it not been
exhausted Comrades?

If we were to allow that the issue of the suspended and the expelled be
re-opened than we would be undermining the capacity of the people that took
that decision which indirectly means that we no longer trust the leadership of
those people which, I for one, would like to believe is not the case, of cause
up until the Conference where we would then be able to evaluate the so-said
Comrades performance but for now I am of the belive that they are still
relevant.

Back to the Statement.

"The ANC National leadership is continuing to play hide and seek on the matter
that has got the potential to collapse the organization at its entirety and
equally cripple the stance of the congress movement by virtue of their
allegiance to hatred and anger".

I dont want to believe that Comrades from Limpopo are doubling as Sangoma's of
late but when you publicly proclaim that something might lead to the collapse
of the organization, it leads me to believe that Comrade Leadership of Limpopo
have very interesting hobbies of being prophets of doom, this is extremely out
of order, it insights panic amongst the Youth within the Movement because it
tells them that their Political Home is dying when that is entirely not the
case, it is just some twisted fantasy of certain people and it should not be
taken seriously.

I am still trying to understand, what gives the Comrades from the right to
speak for the entire Nation? When the Statement says, " We the membership of
the Youth League across the Country blah blah blah"
I find this utterance to be very reckless and assumes unfound support from the
Youth League members at large without being given the opportunity to debate the
issue in the relevant platforms.

My question is, Why should the Secretary General of the ANC even begin to
"intervene" in issues that have been exhausted is beyond my logic perhaps Im
getting old in my young age but I find this to be extremely daunting and smells
of political immaturity for an ENTIRE PROVINCIAL LEADERSHIP to ask that a mere
Secretary General of a Movement intervene in a decision that was taken by a
Constitutional Structure is extremely young and seeks to give the Secretary
General too much power, he is binded by the decision of the NDCA's just as the
rest of us.

The other issue that I want to touch on in my very short response is the issue
of Comrade Pule Mabe, now how does one even begin to compare the issue of the
Treasurer General with that of the suspended and the expelled?
The two issues sit with entirely different magnitudes within the organization
and therefore cannot be compared, simple and straight forward.

Lastly Comrades, the fact that the Youth League in Limpopo has taken a
decision, a sober minded decision (hopefully) to continue recognising the
suspended and expelled even after the decision of the NDCA is a sign of
defiance to the core and should be seriously taken to task because it
indirectly tells our Youth that they can defy the decisions of Constitutional
Structures of the ANC and undermine senior Leadership of the Movement which is
a behavior that should be condemned.

PS: I am not even going to go into the debate of this so-called "Generational
Mix" fallacy instead can I re-direct the forum to a piece of writing that put
together by Comrade Siphelo Ngcwangu, it is a refreshing read and gives
concrete argument and evidence with regards to the whole Generational Mix thing
is concerned.

As my respected Vice Chancellor of the Communist University would say, " What
is needed is move away from the abstract to the concrete, the minor to the
major and from parts to whole"

Comrades from Limpopo must not praise unscientific abstract prepositions and
highlight them as concrete arguments within our movement without the relevant
evidence.
