NAFCOC NELSON MANDELA BAY REGION STATEMENT ON MUNICIPAL MANAGER APPOINTMENT IN
THE MUNICIPALITY

The National African Federated Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NAFCOC) in the
Nelson Mandela Bay has also pledged its support for the metro's head of Health,
Dr Mamisa Chabula-Nxiweni, to be appointed as acting municipal manager at the
next-council meeting.
NAFCOC, representing black business and in a statement by Regional Secretary Mr
Unathi Sonti and President Mr Dyala on the 19th July said: "Chabula-Nxiweni's
appointment would create stability in the currently falling metro, which has
lost billions of investments due to the poorly run administration done by
outsiders with little knowledge of the metro dynamics"

We continue to lobby that the views of black business find expression in the
government, State Owned Enterprises and society in creating a thriving
environment where service delivery will be a priority and grow the economy of
the metro.
