Comrade Sandile, I fully agree with you on this point. This new resort to banning everyone and everything we disagree with is not only a non starter but clear reflection of vacuity of ideas in dealing with antagonisms from within and without. I am still not convince that banning is a way to go as this creates a bad precedence and to instill a climate of fear to those who disagrees with any of the opinions expressed - a recipe for constructive engagement paralysis. This new tendency will beget retaliation and stir up public spats. It will further foment factionalism and divisions in the movement. What happened to the art of persuassion to win others to our views without suppressing or banning them? We need to avoid this pack of dogs mentality and begin to engage with the subject matter. To this end, I am awaiting reasons for banning cde Floyd Shivambu from participating in this forum.
