Our mega rich friend’s definition of poor may be shocking if properly investigated I would be celebrating if Mr Motsepe had decided to give to the poor that made him rich; 1. The mineworkers that work hard and earn peanuts while turning him into a billionaire 2. The mineworkers who wish to up-skill themselves through formal education but cannot do so due to their poor conditions and cost of education. My conclusion is that the announcement and press conference was just a publicity stunt aimed at improving his brand. He could be giving away money in order to make more than his donation. This is maximising profit in a clever way, more like opening a church with the sole aim of becoming rich. All suspect there is a catch here but hope that I am wrong.
