Cde VC I know without a shadow of doubt that you are a gifted Cde in the intelligence department and surely you apply your mind on issues. Your have above reproach sense of penning opinions and you are well opinionated, informed and experienced in our movement.
Since the surfacing of these allegations you have supplied us with below par and superficial biased supplication. As if that was not enough you continue without substance nor evidence to forge your way towards charging, trying and judging Cde Vavi with view of eliminating him and de-throwning him. Pity your motivation is based on morality and not internal or external procedures guiding Cosatu or our country. May I challenge our VC to use facts, valid points as he agitate us to back and support the employee. We have, like Cde Vavi, all conceded that what our leader has done is wrong and not exemplary of anyone holding the highest office in our labour federation. Having said that also we are not going to turn a blind eye on the actions and activities the employee embarked on, before, during and after the incident under scrutiny. To all our women we want to say as communists ourselves and members of YCL uphold aims "to stand against woman and child abuse" we support the woman in question and lambaste the actions of our Secretary. We refrain from being quick to judge a man with no criminal charges leveled against him. We also distance ourselves from prophets of doom who see destruction while we strive to unite and mobilize our people towards next year elections. Like it or not, Cde Vavi is and remains our Secretary. Wishes and day-dreams of kicking him out of those Cosatu offices will and shall remain as such, wishes and dreams. We will respect reality and start living in reality instead of trying so hard to exist in illusional dreamland. I wish our members may wake up from dreamland and start appreciating reality.
